Learn to play the djembe drum with instructor Tripp Bratton in this week-long exploration of West African music and art. Students will have daily drumming instruction and will also learn about West African art through clay projects, mask-making, and more. Camp will conclude with a performance on Friday for friends and family.
Tripp Bratton is a Lexington-based performer, composer, producer, and educator. He is an adjunct percussion instructor at Centre College where he directs the Centre College African Percussion Ensemble.
This camp meets Monday through Friday from 9am to 12pm and is open to rising 1st through 6th graders. Your registration fee includes all materials.
