Elementary Homeschool: Modern Art

Elementary Homeschool: Modern Art

In this hands-on art history class, we will explore the artistic period of “modernism.” The modern art label usually refers to work produced in the late 19th and early 20th century. Works produced in this period tended to emphasize experimentation and a re-imagining of traditional aesthetic values. We will study artists Georgia O’Keeffe, Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso while producing our own experimental artwork.

This class is open to students in grades K-4.
